I was browsing through CNN, my new favorite Political site, when I noticed the following piece. It is an interactive profile of all of the major Obama cabinet's White House staff appointees, and a very effective way of knowing our new leaders. The Obama administration have promised us that the new government will be highly interactive and we have seen many steps taken by the administration to drive this point home. Even though I am not entirely in support of every appointment made by our new commander-in-chief, I do believe he has assembled a team of the most able and eager candidates ever.
In the cabinet picking process, there were quite a few candidates that I was skeptical about at first, including Timothy Geithner, who was being investigated on tax fraud. And I was actually getting ready to write a piece on the irony of appointing a person who has not paid income taxes for several years to the role of Treasury Secretary, but now after reading more about how he oversaw the AIG and Lehman Brothers bailout, I am slowly rescinding my criticism of Geithner. The new administration seems to be ready to go, and we are ready to see what they have in store.
